Prayer for Truth

“Surely you desire integrity in the inner self, and you teach me wisdom deep within.” (Psalm 51:6)

Lord, you desire truth in every area of my life. In a world of duplicity and falsehood, help me to be a person of integrity and transparency, to walk in your truth daily. I invite the Spirit of Truth to examine my heart and bring into the light anything that is hidden, false or dishonest. If there is anything within me that offends you or others, please make it known to me so that I may recognize it and renounce it. Weigh the motives of my heart and render them pure and sincere. Through your grace may my actions be always filled with righteousness. May grace and truth season my words and sincerity seal my thoughts. May I never be a stumbling block to others and may integrity reign in everything I do, so that my behaviour is honourable both in private and in public, for nothing is hidden from you Lord. Help me to build others up in a spirit of love and truth without falsehood. Help me to bear your image in a worthy manner and to be a powerful ambassador for the values of your Kingdom.

“Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.” (Psalm 86:11)
